2011-10-06: ETF International Conference - Qualifications Frameworks: From Concepts To Implementation (Brussels, BE)

ETF is organising a corporate conference on 6-7 October at the European Parliament in Brussels on the implementation of National Qualifications Frameworks (NQFs). The event is a follow-up to ETF’s 2009 conference on NQFs, and will involve participants from the EU, our partner countries and from countries such as Australia, Malaysia and South Africa.

2011-05-24-26: HU Presidency Conference on the European Qualifications Framework (Budapest, HU)

The conference offers an outstanding opportunity to reckon with the experience of EQF implementation on European scale, as well as on member state level; and also to explore new ways and orientations for utilizing the potential what EQF consists of. After meeting the deadline of 2010, it is high time to draw conclusions from the lessons learnt and to provide a starting point of reflection process to be completed by April 2013.

2011-03-30-31: EQF pilot project EQF-Ref: "EQF referencing: challenges and open questions - peer learning seminar" (Sofia, BG)

The partnership of the EQF-Ref project organising a Peer Learning Seminar , focused on the EQF referencing process and the experiences and practices in European countries.

One of the main results of the EQF-Ref project is a proposal for the structure of the ‘EQF referencing report’: The proposal will be developed based on the criteria developed by the EQF Advisory Group and will include illustrative examples from the partner countries. A draft version of this proposal as well as open questions and challenges in the EQF referencing process will be presented and discussed at the peer learning seminar (start: 30 March - 7pm, end: 31 March - 5pm)

2010-09-10: From Policy to Practice: Progressing Recognition of Prior Learning (Cambridge, UK)

This is an important opportunity to examine developments in recognition of prior learning, both in England and across the European Community. The conference sessions will report the work of an EU-funded project which has developed specific recognition processes for vocational teachers and trainers. It will also discuss the state of development of recognition processes in selected EU nations. It will be of general interest to all those engaged with developing policy and practice in recognition of prior learning, as well as to those developing specific processes - such as recognition units. The conference will include an overview of the way in which national and international codes of practice and criteria impact on developments. It offers tightly structured inputs from different nations, as well as a good opportunity for Q&A with the country representatives for the RPLO Project. More information is available here.
 

2010-06-17: European conference - TIPTOE project (Brussels, BE)

The TIPTOE project explors how to overcome interpretation differences in referencing qualifications and occupations to the EQF (from a labour market and educational point of view). The focus in this project is the commerce sector, but the problem of interpretation differences occur in all the sectors.
