The Education Council of 12 May adopted a new strategic framework for co-operation between EU Member States to reform their education and training systems (ET 2020).

This policy framework will guide the application of the open method of coordination in education and training until 2020 and is therefore an important document for everyone working on European cooperation in in all sectors of education and training, and on both the policy and programme side.
